What to wear to aerial yoga

Wear fitted clothing that covers the sides of the torso and the backs of the knees. That is the whole rule. The hammock wraps the body. Bare skin against silk can pinch; loose fabric can catch.
What works well
- Leggings or fitted trousers that cover the knee pit.
- A fitted top that covers the waist and sides. A sports bra under a close tee is fine.
- Hair tied back, off the neck.
- Grip socks if you prefer them. Bare feet are also fine.
What to leave out
- Loose shirts, dresses, and anything that can ride up in an inversion.
- Lotion, oil, or heavy moisturiser on the arms and legs. Silk needs a little grip.
- Jewellery, belts, and sharp zips.
- Very short shorts. The backs of the knees meet the hammock often.
What Sukha provides
Mats and hammocks are in the room. Bring water. Arrive 15 minutes early so you can check in without rushing. If this is your first visit, start with Aerial Yoga Group Classes or a personal session and read what to expect in your first class.
If you are unsure about a garment, choose more coverage rather than less. Comfort in the silk matters more than how it photographs.
