What to expect in your first aerial yoga class in Banaswadi

A first aerial yoga class at Sukha is a group or personal hammock session in Banaswadi. You learn how to sit in the hammock, come out of it, and move without rushing. Arrive 15 minutes early in fitted clothes.
A first aerial yoga class at Sukha is usually Aerial Yoga Group Classes or an aerial personal session, taught from the ground up. You do not need prior yoga. You do not need to invert on day one.
Where is the studio?
Sukha is at 1st Floor, 6/1, 9th Main Rd, HRBR Layout, Banaswadi, Bengaluru 560043. We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays. Call or WhatsApp +91 81059 83999 if you want help choosing a time.
What happens in a first aerial class?
- You learn how to enter the hammock and find a stable seat.
- You practise coming out of the silk so the body trusts the exit as much as the entry.
- You move through slow, supported shapes. Strength and stretch both appear, without spectacle.
- You can come down at any time. The floor is still there.
What should I wear and bring?
Fitted clothing that covers the sides of the torso and the backs of the knees. The silk can pinch on bare skin. Skip loose shirts and lotion. Bring a water bottle and tie hair back. We provide mats and hammocks. Full detail is in what to wear for aerial yoga.
How much is a first class?
An aerial drop-in is ₹600 per hour. If you already know you want a rhythm, the Monthly aerial package is ₹3,200 for 8 sessions. Book from the menu, or call the studio. More beginner questions live on the FAQ.
Aerial yoga is physical. If you are pregnant, recovering from injury, or managing a medical condition, speak with your clinician before you book, and tell your teacher when you arrive.
